The Kontainment of Haruhi Suzumiya
Unknowingly possessing the power to change reality, pictured here is Haruhi Suzumiya from the popular series of novels bearing the same title. Characterized as energetic, eccentric, and somewhat unapproachable, she is only interested in aliens, espers and time travelers and does not care for 'ordinary' human beings or a normal high school life. The founder and "Chief" of the SOS Brigade gets some love from Japanese model and figure manufacturer Alter, by sculpting her with a dynamic pose in her school uniform.
As if saluting in passing, this 1/8 scale (around 18cm) figure gets treated with top notch detail and paint expected from Alter. The face sculpt is perfect and the pose is definitely refreshing. Personally I think it's the best Haruhi figure to date, with a lot of great angles for pictures. Priced at ¥5,800.
