Sounds of Beijing- Sunset at home and Zha Jiang Mian Lunch

Recorded June 12 and 13th, 2009. After the visit to Xiang Shan we finally came home to relax and eat. As we arrived, I heard someone practicing piano coming from another apartment and the wind through the tall trees. As I recorded I also heard the distant sounds of the soldier's evening training. It was a great ending to a great day.
The next day we planned on going to the Summer Palace- but not without an empty stomach! We stopped at a popular Zha Jiang Mian place to eat. The restaurant was already bustling with life with loud conversations and waiters shouting to each other from across the room. Be sure to turn this way up. I could barely hear the conversation at my own table! I thought this was a great contrast to recordings the night before.
Next stop Summer Palace!
