My Day on The USS Midway

I can't shake the feeling I get when I step anywhere near a plane. Sometimes i feel like i was born to be a pilot. Which is why when my girlfriend bought me flying lessons, I spun into a frenzy likened to a little boy openeing a G.I. Joe set for the first time.
I remember my father taking me on his naval ships in India when he was the Captain on board. I also remember the smells, sights and the people aboard his ship.
So, today, when I spent a major part of my day on the decomissioned but infamous USS Midway, I had feelings of nostalgia and in some corners even brief feelings of discomfort and claustrophobia.
Overall my day was brilliant and well spent. I learned a lot from the veterans on board, they had great stories and insights and were generally passionate about their time spent aboard the Midway during war times and in peace.

Cool footage! That ride looks like fun, lol. The kid in that first one definitely looked more adventurous than the others, hahaha. Did you have a go?

I didn't! Haha I was too busy fallign in love with all the planes :) ...that ship is HUGE it took me all day to check everything out. I was worn out and exhausted.
