Taking our own advice...
|
If I had a little girl I would tell her all the things she would need to know to be fully prepared for life. I would tell her that there will be good days and bad days, and she should be grateful for them all. I would tell her no one can make you fell sad or bad without your consent, do not rely on others to feel good. I would tell her that her sense of feeling good can be withdrawn from the heavens. I would tell her always tell the truth, for you will never remember a lie and deliver the truth with the same care of which you would like it to be delivered to you. Always give her best and never doubt if it was good enough, always remember where you came from and the people that helped you along the way.
I would tell my little girl that the best things in life are not objects, nor things, they are people. I would tell my little girl that we all are going to make mistakes, do not be afraid, when evaluated we then become masters. I would tell my little girl to replace unpleasant moments with pleasant memories. I would tell her to be kind to everyone who crosses her path, in life you know not what another people bare; you will learn invaluable lessons from everyone.
I would tell my little girl that she has the world by the tail, reach for her desires, for without the act of reaching you may never learn life's little secrets. I would want my little girl to follow her heart, finding her purpose (Dharma) in life. I would tell her that when we find what we love to do it is as to weave the cloth with threads drawn from your heart, as if your beloved were to wear that very cloth...I would wish for her to find her unique talent and blend that talent with service to others. I would tell her that when we experience the ecstasy of our own spirit while giving to others, this is the goals of all goals.
I would tell my little girl it is important to honor what she feels.
And today...I will heed my own advice, as we all know what we can tell someone else probably applies to us. All women are little girls in woman's bodies. The value of a woman is priceless. Until today we may have dismissed one another's spirit, for today, be mindful of the precious spirit within one another.
Inspiration…if I had a little girl, for this world has changed so much and given the realities of life, we need to prepare our children to be strong spirits. Many blessings to all of the daughters for my heart cries for the tragedies and trauma that we all go through as a culture, family and friends. Many situations are shared with me when clients come in and visit. We may only hope to have a positive impact on the lives we touch. We pray...
BodiScience is not just a place for a facial , massage or treatment we are here to lift your spirit and recharge your body and rest your mind so that we may go forth with conscious awareness of our impact on others, for we are all interconnected.
Namaste,

Each time I read this blog it brings tears to my eyes. How powerful and true are these words! It's so well written. I'm a mother of a soon to be ten year old daughter and can see how girls sometimes treat each other. One of my daughters closet friends happens to be a boy. They have been friends since kindergarten and she came home the other day telling me that they have decided to hide this friendship around one of the girls because it makes her angry. This girl is also a good friend of my daughters. I tried to tell my daughter to be true to herself and be grateful for any friendship. Never be somebody else other than your true self. This is something that your girl friend needs to work through. I read that anger has become such a pervasive part of growing up in this day and age that it seems to be an accepted rite of passage. This, to me, is a catastrophe. Let's be kind to our spirit and each other.

Also brought tears to my eyes, as I am missing my mother so very much, haven't had a daughter and feel a sense of loss. Also because reading your "if I had a daughter", quotes Dawn, made me realize many things....things that made me long for a mom who gave me those things, but thankful for the mom I was born to, and mad that disease has stolen her from me! But as you said, Bodiscience is there for me to uplift me, and every single time I come in, you fulfill your goal in me. I am uplifted. And; I carry on. I am recharged. Wait til you see me next............you might not recognize me.....I am still looking forward to hearing about that wellness getaway; are you still planning that???? Please let me know!
Thanks, and cheers to you for adding all the technology to your business!!!! and...thank you!
