If you ever had to reinstall something on Snow Leopard such as Quick Time X, here is how:

(1) Dowload and install Pacifist
(2) Insert your Snow Leopard install DVD
(3) Run Pacifist and choose "Open Apple Install Disks" (takes a bit)
(4) Search for "Quicktime Player.app"
(5) Select "Quicktime Player.app" (in Essentials.pkg/Applications) and choose "Install to Default Location"

Thanks so much. I actually called Apple to get help with this and the woman told me that Quick Time 7 was the version my computer came with...without this advice I'd still be using the old version!
