Say hi to the moon for me
Like the wannabe astronomer aficionado I am, I’m celebrating the 40 years of the first moon landing. I wasn’t even alive when the last mission (Apollo 17) leave the moon for a last time, but I fell kind of a strange melancholy about the big grey rock in the sky, has been all alone for so much time.
My favorite moon moment is when David R. Scott (in Apollo 15 mission) makes the gravity experiment with a hammer and a feather, proving that’s Galileo was completely right.. Just a few hundred years later.
I used to be a conspiracy lover, but I never buy the idea of the moon conspiracy. Read all about it and all the explanations; and always sounded like a child arguing with and engineer about how TV works.
Today, July 20, is also the independence day of my homeland, Colombia. But there’re so few things to celebrate. Sadly, in our country we constantly live in a context of negation. In an ambient of unilateralism when everyone that’s not with the government line of ideas, is immediately tagged has a terrorist sympathizer. The result of the messiah virus that runs all over Latin America… so sad.
