Alone and bleeding (an informal complain to HP)

I’m in a precarious situation right now. Pau, my girlfriend, has gone to Mexico to work for a couple of weeks. I know it sound like not a big deal, but I kinda freak out when I don’t see her for some time; maybe because we spent the first 4 years of our relationship living in different cities, or maybe because I live alone in this town and have no family or close friends and she’s my only grip to reality. The thing is I miss her like hell! And the built-in mic of her laptop seems broken and the skype calls are almost impossible. Seriously Hewlett-Packard! F*ck off! I hope I never have to buy something from you again! Do you know what HP means in this side of the world?*
But I have some things to distract myself from the sickness of the distance. I have my current work, the walks every day and the crowded buses of Bogotá. And I also have my mother and father-in-law that kindly invited me to have lunch on weekends; things to clean in the house and more even work to do.
If everything fails to distract me, I can always go for a more extreme method of distraction: physically remove it from your brain! Yes, yesterday I crack my head with a corner of my desk. For my luck it was more of a scratch and really not a big deal, just like 3 hours waiting for the wound to close. I always can come out with a cool fake anecdote about it!
(*) HP means “hijueputa”, a shorter version of “hijo de puta”, that literally means “Son of a whore”.
