The internets is a weird place
I love the mystique of the internet. Love the way that myths are build with pure will. I love the energy of a good meme passing thought the minds of different people becoming something else.
The last time I feel that synergy in its bare ironic dress, was in a series of videos rolling in the web the last few days.
First, we have to remember a legendary prank pulled by the guys from Collegehumor.com. If you are too lazy to watch the whole video, here’s a synopsis: One guy (with the help of the crow) make believe to his friend that he made a half-court blindfold shot at a basket game and won $500k. He misses the shot but everyone cheers and in the end he realizes that is a lie.
Here’s the video:

Now, some students at Olathe Northwest (Kansas, USA) decided to make the same prank to a teacher, this time for tickets to the NCAA Final. The only problem is that the bastard makes the shot! Look it:

Oh yeah, that’s funny. Yeah, yeah. But wait. Taking advantage of the awesomeness of the teachers shot, a reporter wants to make a story from it, just to coincidentally make the impossible task of the half-court shot… while talking to the camera!!
Check the video here (yes, I don't know how to embed a video of this kind)
Right now I want to take some friends, tell them the story and bet them that I can’t make the same shot. Maybe I can follow the luck and win some extra money!
