Updated June 26th: Fi is growing and we have an open position for a Sr Interactive Producer in our NYC office and a 2nd in our Stockholm office. The original post below and videos above we feel best explain the position.

What makes an amazing Interactive Producer? Have you ever worked with him/her?

Within the interactive field, the Producer leads a talented team of artists, designers and developers in the production of micro-sites, web portals and software applications. The Producer’s involvement and guidance is critical in all phases of a project from inception to completion; in client relations as well as encouraging the team to deliver quality at all times.

Above, you will find a series of videos from the perspective of Fi employees on how they view a Producer and who they need to save their bottoms on rainy days.

Designers/Developers:

Our blog is read by mainly designers and developers. Help us reach out to those Producers that dont have the time to surf around as you do and may be looking for a better home.

As far as I know the job title "Producer" is not used by Dutch internet companies. Is it the same as a project manager?

If the Producer is leading the team of Creatives, then who is the Art Director leading?

I think the Producer and Art Director need to lead collaboratively because a good Art Director should never require someone to keep them motivated or focussed and no matter how good a Producer is, he/she will never be able to understand the production process and lead Creatives as well as a Creative.

Producer manages the client and the project - Art Director manages the Creative team.

You make a very interesting comment on the very top of this video - "we are always looking for young passionate people". Understandable - but the most critical component that no one mentions because they really can't is "experience".

Hi Meinaart. It is actually interesting question. If you take a look at the 3rd video "Director's Cut" you will hear couple of employees talking about the differences between producer and a project manager.

Hi timtwo,
I used Canon 5D Mark II with Canon 50mm F1.8 to shoot those videos. I didn't made any color correction at all, just put it together using iMovie.
