Team-building with Fi Stockholm
We decided that it was time for some good old fashion team building within the Fi Stockholm clan. So, last week we took a well deserved break from day-to-day life and headed out into the Swedish wilderness for some much needed R&R. The trip was meticulously planned from 10 am in the morning to 11 pm at night and included boat rides through the Archipelago, team games in and around an old fortress called Kastellet, and then back to the office for a team conference with wine, beer and snacks, before dining in the evening. And of course, much to the surprise and delight of the staff… some karaoke!. To save everyone's ears we decided not to upload the videotaped evidence, but maybe there will be an entry with the uncut footage some day…
Fun stuff that happened during the day:
- We were able to see the beautiful Archipelago on a spotless sunny day, and another side of Stockholm that we don’t often get to see.
- We got to use our brain cells and strength for something other then programming, coding and designing. We highly recommend Kastellet to any other Swedish firm wanting to do something fun.
- Had a "real beer" for lunch!
- Discussed important and interesting matters regarding the office, events and our work.
- Went to a Japanese restaurant for sushi, grilling our own food and of course, sake!
- The karaoke room got what it deserved. Note to everyone: Bohemian Rhapsody is not an easy song to sing sober OR drunk.
- We found out that Axl Rose's twin works in our office in the shape of Tom Knowles aka Axl Knowles.
- Back to the office (very late in the evening / early in the morning, depending how you look at it) for some serious Rock Band competition.

Later that day, Tom and I battled it out in Foosball. That's the type of games we play here!
