End of March update
The tomatoes 100’s & 1000’s are ready to prick out (look back on earlier entries to see how it was done), use something like a pen or a plant label and start from one edge of the seed tray, get right underneath the seedling trying not to disturb the root too much.
Using the vermiculite definitely helps this process because the compost is very loose and not compacted.
Prick out into 9cm pots, fill pots with compost and make a good deep hole, use forefinger and thumb to lift the plant by the juvenile leaf, careful not to damage it. Place the seedling in the hole; don’t be afraid to plant it a little deeper this will add stability to it as it grows, then gently firm them in
Just add water!
The Radish is a bit of a near disaster, I left them covered over for too long and they have come up ‘leggy’
Ah well lets see what happens anyway.
The courgettes are just poking through you can just see the first one!
