I have been living (studying or working) in some of the most fascinating cities around the world. And for a farmers son who was raised in a small town on the Norwegian coast, it was somewhat a creative overload. From the sunny beaches of Florida, the mega metropolis of NYC, the royal London and the warm city of Reykjavik far to the North to name some.

I always wanted to come back home when I had seen and experienced some of what the world have to show. Now it`s several years since I moved back and I was looking through some of the photos I have taken in the area around the town. I sometimes think about what I miss about living away from the "center of the world". When looking at this pictures I quickly remind my self that I can go to any city in the world and when I get tired of the noise and chaos I can go HOME.

Im not sure I will live here the rest of my life, not even the next 5 years, but right now I love every second. :-)

I used a remote control on a 20D.

Most of the pictures where taken using a canon 20D, some with a 40D.

It`s a place where each season has its beauty. Even the winter (Polar) storm has a Charm of its own. Everyone is always welcome to visit. If you are working on a project and want to get away this is a perfect place.

I loved the reading and I totally agree with you. I travel a lot but i always feel the need to come back to my roots, all the time.
I love your pictures... each one of 'em gives me a sense of smooth calm and deepness even in "stormy" pics.
