Disneyland Paris
|
S had a big birthday this year and I thought it a good time to enter her second childhood by booking a surprise trip to Disneyland Paris. I managed to hang onto the secret until about 10 days before, when I inadvertently blabbed it when talking about photographs.
Still, good fun was had all round even though the food prices for what was basically burger and chips were utterly astonishing. Like, the Rainforest Cafe - about 18 quid! Even the parks fast food joints wanted nearly 13 pounds for a burger, fries and a drink! It was also freezing cold (December... duh) and we had a drop of real snow, although when it wasn't snowing for real we had fake Disney snow to look at. The parks themselves are tiny compared to the American version but there were so many people both in our hotel and in the parks that the majority of the
holiday was spent queuing. Either for breakfast, the toilets as well as up to an hour for the rides. I suppose all that queuing makes for the perfect British holiday.
