There's a Storm Comin'
Here are some more before and afters. After seeing Johnny's screencast (Thanks a lot Johnny!). I gave retouching another go. I didn't take these pictures unfortunately, my dad took em at one of his vacation trips to (somewhere in China, I don't know I'm sorry!). He says that this was an hour's worth of boat ride where all you see is scenery like this. Pretty neat huh.
Definitely had trouble with the light source as my dad told me it was raining hard the day before this was taken, and that the day after there was a huge storm. I was so tempted to add additional light source digitally but that would feel too far from realism (not to mention i'd be losing sky details) so I decided not to. It's not quite there yet, but I personally think I've made great progress here.
P.S. @Johnny that was a really good screencast btw, even though it was obvious you felt weird talking to yourself like that haha.

I like the third & fourth photos. It looks like an endless piece. Makes you wonder what's beyond the mountains and the river. Like I said in plurk, eerie yet peaceful. :)
